[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8937, August 22, 2000 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE PANIQUE HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY PANIQUE, MUNICIPALITY OF AROROY, PROVINCE OF MASBATE TO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE PANIQUE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Panique High School in Barangay Panique, Municipality of Aroroy, Province of Masbate shall be converted into a national high school to be known as the Panique National High School.

Section 2. The Panique National High School shall be under the direct supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS).

Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on March 27, 2000 and June 8, 2000, respectively.
