[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8900, August 22, 2000 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE LOCALLY-FUNDED LIBERTAD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY LIBERTAD, MUNICIPALITY OF BUNAWAN, PROVINCE OF AGUSAN DEL SUR, INTO A NATIONAL GOVERNMENT-FUNDED SECONDARY SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE LIBERTAD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The locally-funded Libertad National High School in Barangay Libertad, Municipality of Bunawan, Province of Agusan del Sur is hereby converted into a national government-funded secondary school to be known as the Libertad National High School.

Section 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on June 3, 1999 and June 5, 2000,  respectively.
