[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8895, August 22, 2000 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AT MARAG VALLEY, PROVINCE OF APAYAO TO BE KNOWN AS THE MARAG VALLEY AGRICULTURAL AND TRADE HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There shall be established a national high school at Marag Valley, Province of Apayao to be known as the Marag Valley Agricultural and Trade High School.

Section 2. The school shall offer secondary education proper as well as other vocational courses to carry out its objectives as may be authorized by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports and in coordination with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and other appropriate offices and agencies.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 3. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

Section 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on March 22, 1999 and May 22, 2000,  respectively.
