[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8888, August 22, 2000 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE POBLACION, MUNICIPALITY OF BAROTAC NUEVO, PROVINCE OF ILOILO TO BE KNOWN AS BAROTAC NUEVO COMPREHENSIVE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports a comprehensive national high school in the Poblacion, Municipality of Barotac Nuevo, Province of Iloilo to be known as Barotac Nuevo Comprehensive High School.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 2. The site of said national comprehensive high school shall be located within the compound of the Barotac Nuevo Polytechnic Institute, Poblacion, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo. It is hereby understood that said national comprehensive high school shall be separate and independent from the Barotac Nuevo Polytechnic Institute.

Section 3. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of this Act.

Section 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on September 15, 1999 and May 22, 2000,  respectively.
