[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8848, August 22, 2000 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SAN PEDRO HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF IRIGA, PROVINCE OF CAMARINES SUR INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The San Pedro High School in the City of Iriga, Province of Camarines Sur is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the San Pedro National High School.

Section 2. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) is hereby directed to implement the provisions of this Act.

Section 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.ℒαwρhi৷

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on August 17, 1999 and May 22, 2000, respectively.
