[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6090, August 04, 1969 ]
AN ACT FIXING THE MAXIMUM COMPENSATION OF MUNICIPAL VICE-MAYORS AND COUNCILORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. In lieu of per diems, the municipal council may grant to each Vice-Mayor and councilor an annual salary not to exceed the following:

Section 2. Municipalities of the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh classes shall not be covered by the provisions of this Act: Provided, however, That the Municipal Councils of the municipalities belonging to these classes may grant to each Vice-Mayor and Councilor a per diem not exceeding fifteen pesos for every day of regular or special session of the Council actually attended by them: Provided, finally, That no per diem may be granted for more than two special sessions a month.
Section 3. All Acts, executive orders and administrative orders, or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed.1a⍵⍴h!1
Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
