[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5881, June 21, 1969 ]

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS AS COMPENSATION TO THE HEIRS OF ACCIDENT VICTIMS TERESITA DE LA CRUZ, ELENA DE LA CRUZ, BEATR1Z DE LA CRUZ, JOSE LUIS KING AND AMADA REPOSI, ALL DECEASED.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be paid as compensation to the heirs of accident victims Teresita de la Cruz, Elena de la Cruz, Beatriz de la Cruz, Jose Luis King and Amada Reposi who were killed instantly by a Philippine Army truck trailer driven by Sergeant Faustino Mendoza of the Philippine Army on January twenty-seven, nineteen hundred fifty-seven,  who was convicted on February twenty-two, nineteen hundred fifty-eight of multiple homicide thru reckless imprudence on account thereof, by final decision of a competent court, but was found to be insolvent to pay the damages arising therefrom. Of this amount, thirty thousand pesos shall be paid to the heirs of Teresita De la Cruz, Elena de la Cruz and Beatriz De la Cruz; ten thousand pesos to the heirs of Jose Luis King; and the remaining ten thousand Pesos to the heirs of Amada Reposi, all of which sums shall be exempt from all kinds of taxes.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.1a⍵⍴h!1
