[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5714, June 21, 1969 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE CAVITE SCHOOL OF FISHERIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF NAIC, PROVINCE OF CAVITE, INTO A COLLEGE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Cavite School of Fisheries in the Municipality of Naic, Province of Cavite, is hereby converted into a college to be known as Cavite College of Fisheries which shall offer, in addition to the present curriculum, collegiate and special courses as the Director of Vocational Education may deem necessary.

Section 2. Upon the organization of the Cavite College of Fisheries, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Cavite School of Fisheries shall stand transferred to the Cavite College of Fisheries.

Section 3. In addition to the current appropriation for the Cavite School of Fisheries, the sum of five hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the Cavite College of Fisheries during the fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for the same purpose shall be included in the General Appropriations Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.1a⍵⍴h!1
