[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5710, June 21, 1969 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING CERTAIN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE PROVINCE OF ILO-ILO INTO NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOLS AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The following vocational high schools in the Province of Hoilo are hereby converted into national comprehensive high schools:

The Alimodian National Vocational High School in the Municipality of Alimodian, Province of Iloilo, to be known as Alimodian National Comprehensive High School.

The Sta. Barbara National Vocational High School in the Municipality of Sta. Barbara, Province of Iloilo, to be known as Santa Barbara National Comprehensive High School.

Comprehensive curriculum which includes academic, industrial arts, ceramics, electricity, handicrafts and other allied courses shall be offered. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize the said schools accordingly.

Section 2. Upon organization of the new schools, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the old schools shall stand transferred to the new national comprehensive high schools.

Section 3. In addition to the present appropriations for said schools, the sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purposes of this Act for the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-nine, which shall be equally shared by the Alimodian National Comprehensive High School and the Sta. Barbara National Comprehensive High School. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for their operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.1a⍵⍴h!1
