[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5667, June 21, 1969 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SCHOOL OF HOME INDUSTRIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF HINIGARAN, PROVINCE1 OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, TO BE KNOWN AS NEGROS OCCIDENTAL NATIONAL AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL OF HOME INDUSTRIES, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There shall be established, under the direct supervision of the Director of Vocational Education, a school of home industries in Barrio Aranda in the Municipality of Hinigaran, Province of Negros Occidental, to be known as Negros Occidental National Agro-Industrial School of Home Industries. Comprehensive curriculum which includes both academic and industrial arts and handicraft courses shall be offered. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to organize the said school accordingly.

Section 2. The Secretary of Education shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

Section 3. The sum of three hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said school during the fiscal year nineteen hundred and sixty-nine. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.1a⍵⍴h!1
