[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5530, June 21, 1969 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE LEYTE HIGH SCHOOL IN TACLOBAN CITY INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE LEYTE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Leyte High School in Tacloban City is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Leyte National High School effective upon the availability of funds.

Section 2. The sum of two hundred fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of the said high school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy. Thereafter, such sum as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.1a⍵⍴h!1
