REPUBLIC ACT No. 4055

An Act Converting the Nueva Vizcaya National Agricultural School in the Municipality of Bayombong, Province of Nueva Vizcaya, into a College to be Known as Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural College, and Authorizing the Appropriation of Funds Therefor

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. The Nueva Vizcaya National Agricultural School in the Municipality of Bayombong, Province of Nueva Vizcaya, is hereby converted into a college to be known as Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural College.

Section 2. The Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural College shall offer, in addition to the secondary agricultural curriculum, any or all of the following collegiate courses at the discretion of the Director of Vocational Education:

(a) Two-year technical agriculture leading to the title of Associate in Agriculture;

(b) Four-year technical agriculture leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; and

(c) Four-year teacher education leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education.

Section 3. The Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural College shall be headed by a Superintendent of Agricultural Instruction and shall be under the Bureau of Vocational Education. The Superintendent shall have direct administration and supervision over all the other agricultural schools in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya under the Bureau of Vocational Education.

Section 4. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.

Section 5. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of the said college, in addition to the present national appropriation of the Nueva Vizcaya National Agricultural School for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-five.1âшphi1 Thereafter, the necessary sum for its maintenance and operation shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
