[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4030, June 18, 1964 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE STANDARDIZATION OF SALARIES OF THE OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE OFFICE OF THE SOLICITOR GENERAL AND AUTHORIZING THE APPRO­PRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE.

Be it enacted by the Senate, and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. Any provision of law, executive order, rule or regulation to the contrary notwithstanding, the officials and employees of the Office of the Solicitor General shall receive the salary rates provided for in this Act.

Section 2. The Office of the Solicitor General shall have one administrative officer whose salary shall be eight thousand four hundred pesos per annum, and who shall exercise general supervision and control over all the administrative employees of the office.

He shall be assisted by an administrative assistant who shall receive an annual salary of seven thousand two hundred pesos, who shall perform the duties of the administrative chief in his absence and shall perform such other services as may be required of him. In addition the following shall  compose the administrative staff of the office:

One research attorney and librarian at................................ 6,000 per annum
One private secretary at...................................................... 4,800 per annum
One cashier and disbursing officer at.................................. 6,600 per annum
One supply officer at............................................................ 5,100 per annum
One supervising stenographer at......................................... 5,100 per annum
Two stenographic reportes, each at..................................... 4,800 per annum
One record officer at............................................................ 6,000 per annum
One assistant records officer (senior personnel aide) at..... 4,200 per annum
One chief, Docket Division at............................................... 6,600 per annum
One assistant chief, Docket Division (senior clerk).............. 4,800 per annum
One collecting officer (cash clerk) at.................................... 4,200 per annum
Thirteen clerks, each at....................................................... 3,000 per annum
One chief, Criminal Case Section at.................................... 3,600 per annum
One chief, Civil Case Section at.......................................... 3,600 per annum
One chief, Land Registration Case Section at..................... 3,600 per annum
Twenty-seven senior stenographers, each at...................... 3,960 per annum
Twenty senior stenographers (new positions), each at........ 3,960 per annum
One assistant supply officer (storeroom keeper) at............. 3,120 per annum
One statistician (statistical aide) at...................................... 3,720 per annum
One section chief (clerk II)................................................... 4,200 per annum
Four clerk files (new), each at.............................................. 3,000 per annum
One assistant budget officer (new) at.................................. 4,200 per annum
Four assistant librarians (new), each at............................... 3,000 per annum
Four messengers (new), each at......................................... 2,760 per annum
One head janitor with quarters at......................................... 3,120 per annum
Five janitors, each at............................................................ 2,400 per annum
Two messengers (new), each at.......................................... 2,760 per annum
One clerical aide at.............................................................. 2,400 per annum
Three clerks (new ), each at................................................ 3,000 per annum
One duplicating machine operator (new) at......................... 2,400 per annum
Two clerks (new), each at.................................................... 3,000 per annum

The incumbent administrative officer and all incumbent officials and employees occupying positions affected by the preceding section at the time of the effectivity of this Act shall continue to occupy their respective positions and receive the salary increases herein provided without the necessity of any new appointment.

Section 3. In addition to such sums, as may have been provided in the current Appropriations Act, there is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such sums as are hereby necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.1a⍵⍴h!1
