REPUBLIC ACT No. 3973

An Act to Convert Sinait Provincial High School into a National High School to be Known as Sinait National High School, and to Authorize the Appropriation of Funds Therefor

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. The Sinait Provincial High School located at Sinait, Ilocos Sur, is hereby converted into a national high school, hereinafter to be known as Sinait National High School.

Section 2. Upon organization of Sinait National High School all assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of Sinait Provincial High School shall stand transferred to Sinait National High School.

Section 3. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act, including the power to reorganize the school, revise its curriculum and provide for its supervision.

Section 4. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-four-sixty-five.1âшphi1 Thereafter, the necessary sum for the operation of the said school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
