REPUBLIC ACT No. 1380

An Act to Further Amend Subparagraph (e) of Section Nine of Republic Act Numbered Three Hundred and Forty, as Amended, so as to Include Service Rendered in the American Red Cross or Philippine Red Cross for Purposes of Retirement

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. Subparagraph (e) of section nine of Republic Act Numbered Three hundred and forty, as amended by Republic Act Numbered Eight hundred and sixty-one, is further amended to read as follows:

(e) Service rendered by him as civilian official or employee in the Government or in the American Red Cross, prior to the creation of Philippine Red Cross, or in the Philippine Red Cross: Provided, That he has rendered at least ten years of active service in the Armed Forces of the Philippines: Provided, further, That if the period of his service as such civilian official or employee is longer than the period of his military service, his services as civilian official or employee shall be credited only as equal to his military service.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
