REPUBLIC ACT No. 155

An Act to Authorize the Printing and Issue of Semi-Postal Stamps in Order to Raise Funds for the Philippine National Red Cross

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. To help raise funds for the Philippine National Red Cross, the Director of Posts, subject to the approval of the Department Head, is hereby authorized to order from time to time the printing and issue of semi-postal stamps of different denominations with face value showing the regular postage charge plus the additional amount destined for the said purpose. The additional sums realized from the sale of the semi-postal stamps shall be deposited with the National Treasurer or his deputies to the credit of the Philippine National Red Cross.

Section 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
