DECLARING MONDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2009, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF VIRAC, PROVINCE OF CATANDUANES

WHEREAS, Monday, December 7, 2009, marks the celebration of “Kaaldawan Nin Virac” of the Municipality of Virac, Province of Catanduanes;

WHEREAS, “Kaaldawan Nin Virac” is a cultural event set to coincide with the celebration of the town fiesta;

WHEREAS, the combined celebration of the “Kaaldawan Nin Virac” and town fiesta will encourage active participation of the 63 barangays in Virac, as well as non-government organizations, civic organizations and other line agencies in various phases of events that have both religious and historical significance and will ultimately pave the way for the promotion and advancement of the tourism industry, which is a big source of revenue.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, December 7, 2009, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Virac, Province of Catanduanes.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philipines to be affixed.
