DECLARING THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY

WHEREAS, Thursday, August 28, 2008, marks the celebration of the annual fiesta of Cagayan de Oro City dubbed as “Araw ng Cagayan de Oro”;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of Cagayan de Oro City be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Thursday, August 28, 2008, as special (non-working) day in Cagayan de Oro City.
