DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 17 TO 22, 2007 AS “PRINTING INDUSTRY WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Government recognizes the significant rote of the printing industry in the recording, preserving and disseminating of knowledge and information;

WHEREAS, the continued emergence of cutting edge technologies and the increasing competitiveness of the global printing market is en ever present challenge to the industry;

WHEREAS, there is a need to continually promote and encourage the competitiveness of our own printing industry in the face of globalization;

WHEREAS, the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc. will hold its 13th National Printers Convention on September 17, 18 & 20, 2007, with the theme “GLOBALIZATION: Its Effects & Challenges for the Industry”.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 17 to 22, 2007 as “Printing Industry Week” under the auspices of the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc.1aшphi1
