DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 18 TO 24, 2007, AS PURCHASING AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT WEEK

WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PSIM), is a non-stock; non-profit organization of purchasing and materials managers of the countrys top corporations;

WHEREAS, purchasing and materials managers and PSIM help upgrade the quality and competitiveness of Philippine goods and services for both the domestic and foreign markets;

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by the purchasing and materials managers in commerce and industry be brought to the attention of the people;

WHEREAS, the PSIM will celebrate its 15th National Convention and Exhibit this year called SUPPLYLINK2007, with the theme “SUPPLY MANAGEMENT TODAY: Towards Relevance & Progress“.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from March 18 to 24, 2007 as Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Week.1aшphi1
