[ Proclamation No. 92, March 30, 1999 ]

DECLARING SUNDAY, APRIL 4, 1999, AS ANTIPOLO CITY DAY AND AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE CITY OF ANTIPOLO, RIZAL

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Antipolo adopted and approved Resolution No. 88-98 dated December 9, 1998 declaring April 4 as Antipolo City Day;

WHEREAS, the City of Antipolo acquired its corporate existence when its residents approved the conversion of Antipolo as a city through a plebiscite held last April 4, 1998 as provided under Section 51 of R.A. 8508;

WHEREAS, in order to rekindle the momentum of the towns independence from its mother place and considering the series of activities that will be conducted in line with the celebration, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Antipolo has requested that the aforesaid date be declared as a non-working public holiday.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Sunday, April 4, 1999, as Antipolo City Day and as a special day in the City of Antipolo, Rizal.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
