[ Proclamation No. 88, March 4, 1999 ]

DECLARING JUNE 9 OF EVERY YEAR AS “ARAW NG ROSARIO” IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROSARIO, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS

WHEREAS, Kapasiyahan Blg. 14-96 of the Sangguniang Bayan of Rosario, Batangas proclaimed the 9th day of June as the Foundation Day of the Municipality of Rosario, Batangas;

WHEREAS, the same Kapasiyahan ordained that a celebration should be held on the said date to commemorate this historical occasion in the lives of every citizen of Rosario, Batangas;

WHEREAS, the success of the program prepared by the Municipal Council for Culture and Arts will require the participation of every sector of the Rosarian community;

WHEREAS, this foundation day celebration will showcase among the present generation of Rosarians the rich history of their town.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare June 9 of every year as “Araw ng Rosario” in the Municipality of Rosario, Province of Batangas. The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
