DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 25 TO 29, 1999, AND THE LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER OF EVERY YEAR AS “PHILIPPINE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY WEEK”

WHEREAS, October 29 marks the Foundation Anniversary in the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries of the Philippines Inc. (SEIPI);

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people in the industry be given an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 25-29, 1999, and the last week of October of every year as “Philippine Electronics Industry Week” under the auspices of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries of the Philippines, Inc.
