DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 18 TO 24, 1999, AS “PRINTING INDUSTRY WEEK”

WHEREAS, the printing industry serves as the vehicle in promoting the countrys arts and culture;

WHEREAS, the printing industry, as one of the most effective tools in communication, contributes to the furtherance of the countrys goal towards national economic growth;

WHEREAS, the Printing Industry of the Philippines will hold its 9th National Printers Convention on October 18 to 20, 1999 with the theme “Innovative Approaches During Crisis;”

WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus national attention on the vital role played by the printing industry in promoting the governments higher objectives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 18 to 24, 1999, as “Printing Industry Week” under the auspices of the Printing Industries Association of the Philippines, Inc.1aшphi1
