DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 12 TO 17, 1999, AS “ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Constitution recognizes the pivotal role of Filipino entrepreneurs in our economic development by mandating, under Article XII, Section 10, thereof, the enactment of measures that will encourage the formation and operation of enterprises whose capital is wholly owned by Filipino;

WHEREAS, the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurs Association, Inc. (ASPEN), an association committed to promoting entrepreneurship as an agent of change towards economic progress;

WHEREAS, in pursuit of this objective, ASPEN has prepared activities for the period covering July 12 to 17, 1999 under the theme: “Advancing Dynamic Entrepreneurship Towards Economic Growth and Dynamism”.1aшphi1

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from July 12 to 17, 1999, as “Entrepreneurship Week” under the auspices of the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurs Association, Inc.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
