DECLARING APRIL 24, 1999 AS CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION DAY

WHEREAS, April 24, 1999 is a memorable day to the Cordillera people considering that it marks the grant of a special status as an Special Administrative Region in the Philippines;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the Cordillera people be given a chance to celebrate April 24, 1999 considering its uniqueness;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare April 24, 1999 as Cordillera Administrative Region Day. The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
