DECLARING AUGUST 2, 1988, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS JAIME N. FERRER DAY IN PARAÑAQUE, METRO MANILA
WHEREAS, August 2, 1988, marks the 1st death anniversary of the late Local Government Secretary Jaime N. Ferrer; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that a day be set aside as a fitting tribute and recognition of the principle and personal convictions of "Ka Jaime" particularly his unflinching stand against graft, his selfless dedication to public service and his commitment to libertarian democracy and intellectual honesty;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 2, 1988, and every year thereafter as Jaime N. Ferrer Day in Parañaque, Metro Manila, but it shall be a regular working and school day.
