DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 6 TO 13, 1973, AS “PURCHASING WEEK.”

WHEREAS, one of the policies of the government is to attract investments of prospective investors, both Filipinos and foreigners;

WHEREAS, nationwide efforts at industrialization and socio-economic development can be enhanced effectively not only by making the citizens more aware of the benefits that will accrue to them from industrialization, but also by making industries more socially-oriented; and

WHEREAS, the observance will coincide with the 2nd National Convention of Purchasing and Materials Managers;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare November 6 to 13, 1973, as “Purchasing Week” under the auspices of the Purchasing Association of the Philippines, Inc.1aшphi1
