DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 3 TO 9, 1972, AS FREEDOM WEEK.

WHEREAS, April 9, 1972, marks the 30th anniversary of the Fall of Bataan, a historic event in our people’s struggle for freedom and democracy; and

WHEREAS, every freedom loving citizen of this country should reflect on the sacrifices of those who fought in the night of the crucial struggle to preserve our way of life and to pass on the torch of a glorious dawn of peace, happiness and freedom for our beloved country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from April 3 to 9, 1972, as Freedom Week under the auspices of the committee created under Administrative Order No. 315 dated December 6, 1971.1aшphi1
