DECLARING THURSDAY, MARCH 2, 1972, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATAAN.

WHEREAS, Thursday, March 2, 1972, marks the 125th birth anniversary of the late Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano, first Filipino Chief Justice of the Supreme Court; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting to honor the distinguished jurist whose service in the highest magistracy of the land for more than twenty-two years was characterized by the highest degree of erudition and integrity;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Thursday, March 2, 1972, as a special public holiday in the province of Bataan, the birthplace of the late Chief Justice.1aшphi1
