DECLARING THE SECOND WEEK OF APRIL 1972 AS ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING WEEK

WHEREAS, electronic data processing and computer programing are increasingly v playing important roles in government, business and industry by modernizing systems, methods and programming techniques; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to focus attention on the importance of electronic data processing in economic development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the second week of April 1972 as Electronic Data Processing Week under the auspices of the Electronic Data Processing Society of the Philippines.
