DESIGNATING APRIL 1972, AS “HEART MONTH”

WHEREAS, heart disease is becoming the top cause of death the world over; and

WHEREAS, the public should be made aware of this fact and avoiding heart disease for a longer productive life;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the month of April 1972 as Heart Month under the auspices of the Philippine Heart Association, Inc.
