[ Proclamation No. 957, January 31, 1972 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 952, DATED JANUARY 12, 1972, WHICH DECLARED THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE.

WHEREAS, the existence of a state of public calamity was declared in Leyte under Proclamation No. 952 dated January 12, 1972, due to typhoon “ASIANG”; and

WHEREAS, extensive destruction to life and property has similarly been wrought upon the province of Southern Leyte by typhoon “ASIANG;”

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 952 dated January 12, 1972, by including the province of Southern Leyte in the calamity area.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
