DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 6 TO 12 OF EVERY YEAR AS NATIONAL PET WEEK

WHEREAS, animal pets have brought joy and consolation to man; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to inculcate in the minds and hearts of our youth the virtues of kindness and mercy to our pets which have delighted humanity from time to time immemorial;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from March 6 to 12 of every year as National Pet Week under the auspices of the Philippine Kennel Club, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and other organizations involved.
