DECLARING NOVEMBER 22 TO 26, 1972, AS “CARDIO-THORACIC WEEK.”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Association of Thoracic Surgeons will host the First Asian Congress of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery on November 22 to 26, 1972, at the Manila Hilton with the end in view of discussing ideas, methods and techniques, as well as adopting available facilities for the needs of developing countries in the field of surgery; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to call the attention of the public to the importance of this occasion;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare November 22 to 26, 1972, as “Cardio-thoracic Week.”
