DECLARING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30, 1972, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN SAN JUAN, RIZAL.

WHEREAS, the 30th of August marks the 76th anniversary of the Battle of Pinaglabanan where Filipinos first clashed with American soldiers, sparkling the brief struggle for freedom from American domination; and

WHEREAS, the people of San Juan, Rizal, desire to celebrate this occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Wednesday, August 30, 1972, as a special public holiday in San Juan, Rizal.
