DECLARING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 23, 1972, AS PUGAD LAWIN DAY IN THE CITIES OF CALOOCAN AND QUEZON

WHEREAS, Wednesday, August 23, 1972, marks the 76th anniversary of the “Cry of Pugad Lawin” (formerly called First Cry of Balintawak), a historic event in our struggle for freedom;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Wednesday, August 23, 1972, as Pugad Lawin Day in the Cities of Caloocan and Quezon.
