DECLARING MONDAY, JUNE 19, 1972, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LAGUNA AND THE CITY OF SAN PABLO

WHEREAS, June 19, 1972, marks the one hundred twelfth birthday of Dr. Jose Rizal, our national hero; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that at least the residents of Laguna, his birthplace, should be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his ideals and teachings;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, June 19, 1972, as a special public holiday in the Province of Laguna and the City of San Pablo.
