DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM  JANUARY 24 TO 30, 1972, AS SAVINGS AND HOME LOAN WEEK

WHEREAS, one of the deterrents to housing development in the country is the lack of funds;

WHEREAS, the Savings and Loan Associations play a vital role in generating savings for home construction and other home financing activities at low INTEREST;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby designate the period from January 24 to 30, 1972, as Savings and Home Loan Week under the auspices of the Philippine League of Savings and Loan Associations, Inc.
