[ Proclamation No. 857, May 25, 1971 ]

AUTHORIZING THE MORAL RE-ARMAMENT FOUNDATION OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT ITS EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM MAY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1971.

WHEREAS, the promotion of the moral well-being of our children and youth and their development into good and useful citizens and enlightened leaders of our country is the vital concern of society and all efforts should be exerted in that direction;

WHEREAS, movements which seek to strengthen the moral fiber of our youth and the general public, and the provision of proper avenues and facilities for this purpose should be encouraged; and

WHEREAS, the Moral Re-Armament Foundation of the Philippines has its objectives geared to these ends;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the Moral Re-Armament Foundation of the Philippines to conduct an educational, membership and fund campaign from May 1 to December 31, 1971, I enjoin citizens and other nationals to support this worthy movement.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
