[ Proclamation No. 759, October 12, 1970 ]

REVOKING PROCLAMATION NO. 750, DATED SEPTEMBER 2, 1970, AND DECLARING THE ENDING OF THE STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN CENTRAL LUZON, THE GREATER MANILA AREA AND SOUTHERN LUZON PROCLAIMED THEREUNDER.

WHEREAS, the emergency situation in Central Luzon, the Greater Manila Area and Southern Luzon resulting from typhoon “Meding,” heavy moonson rains and flash floods, has now terminated after the passing of the typhoon, the stopping of the rains and reappearance of line, sunny weather, and the receding of flood waters in the areas abovementioned;

WHEREAS, the situation has now returned to normal, and evacuated families and refugees have been returned and/or relocated;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare and certify that the state of public calamity in Central Luzon, the entire Greater Manila Area and Southern Luzon proclaimed under Proclamation No. 750, dated September 2, 1970, is ended: and, in view thereof, Proclamation No. 750 is hereby revoked and henceforth declared to be without force and effect.1aшphi1

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
