DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 25 TO 30, 1960, AS HISTORY WEEK AND DESIGNATING THE PHILIPPINE HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE OBSERVANCE THEREBY

WHEREAS, an International Conference of Historians of Southeast Asia under the sponsorship of the Philippine Historical Association will be held in Manila from November 25 to 30, 1960;

WHEREAS, it is necessary that such an important event be brought to the attention of the people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 25 to 30, 1960, as History Week and designate the Philippine Historical Association to take charge of its observance.
