[ Proclamation No. 710, October 3, 1960 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 21 TO 27, 1960, AS ACCOUNTANCY WEEK

WHEREAS, accountants, by reason, of the vantage position they occupy in the field of business, finance, and industry, have contributed immensely to the progress of the national economy; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by accountants in the development of the national economy be brought to the attention of the people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 21 to 27, 1960, as Accountancy Week and designate the Philippine Institute of Accountants to take charge of its celebration.
