DESIGNATING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 1 TO JULY 15, 1959, FOR THE ELEVENTH ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE COMMUNITY CHEST OF GREATER MANILA

To enable the Community Chest of Greater Manila to carry on its community welfare services, I, CARLOS P. GARCIA, President of the Philippines, do hereby designate the period from June 1 to July 15, 1959, for its eleventh annual fund campaign.1aшphi1

I call upon all residents, firms, and organizations in the City of Manila, Quezon City, Pasay City, and the municipalities of Caloocan, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Navotas, Parañaque, and San Juan to support this campaign and to give generously to the Community Chest of Greater Manila which unites into one annual appeal the fund campaigns of the following:

1. Abiertas House of Friendship
2. American-Philippine Guardian Association
3. Asilo de San Vicente de Paul
4. Asociacion de Damas Filipinas
5. Boy Scouts of the Philippines
6. Catholic Youth Organization
7. Council of Welfare Agencies
8. Free Legal Aid Clinic
9. Girl Scouts of the Philippines
10. Good Shepherd Convent
11. La Proteccion de la Infancia
12. National Federation, of Women’s Clubs
13. Patronates
14. Philippine Association of the Deaf
15. Philippine Band of Mercy
16. Philippine Mental Health Association
17. Young Men’s Christian Association
18. Young Women’s Christian Association

I authorize all government officials and employees, including school authorities and teachers, to accept, for the Community Chest of Greater Manila, fund-raising responsibilities and to give it active support and leadership in their respective communities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
