DECLARING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1955, AS SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS

WHEREAS, General Miguel Malvar is one of the most heroic figures in our history, being the last Filipino general to surrender in the Filipino-American War; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas desire to be given full opportunity to celebrate the 90th birthday of General Malvar on September 27, 1955;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Tuesday, September 27, 1955, as a special public holiday in the province of Batangas.1âшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
