[ Memorandum Order No. 128, December 18, 2000 ]

Subject: Creation of OP Oversight Committee that will Oversee and Coordinate all Preparatory Work Necessary to Effect the Termination of the Cordillera Administrative Region

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 270, dated 20 July 2000, extending up to 30 September 2000, within which to wind up the operations of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and fully implement its deactivation, and to submit its terminal and liquidation reports as well as turn over all its assets and liabilities to designated entities or to the Office of the President, there is hereby created in the Office of the President, an Oversight Committee that will oversee and coordinate all preparatory works towards the deactivation and termination of the official existence of CAR.1aшphi1

The Oversight Committee shall be composed of the following:

1. Senior Dep. Exec. Sec. Ramon B. Cardenas, Chairman

2. Dep. Exec. Sec. Ric Tan Legada, Member

3. Usec. Demetrio L. Ignacio, Jr., Member

4. PA Junie Cua, Member

5. Asst. Sec. Reginald Velasco, Member

6. Dir. Elisa A. Alejo, Member

7. Dir. Floyd Gerona, Member

The Committee shall immediately convene and undertake the preparatory work for the turn over of all the documents, reports, assets and liabilities, including finished and unfinished projects of CAR to concerned agencies, local government units, private entities, or to the Office of the President.

All agencies concerned are hereby enjoined to give the Committee their fullest cooperation.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately and shall remain in force until revoked.
