[ Memorandum Order No. 315, August 30, 1990 ]

DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, THE NATIONAL ECONOMIC AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY SECRETARIAT AND THE CONCERNED AGENCIES TO HOLD IN ABEYANCE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 413, S. OF 1990

WHEREAS, there are proposed Resolutions in the House of Representatives (H. Resolution No. 1896) and Senate (S. Jt. Resolution No. 11) which both seek to amend the effectivity of Executive Order No. 413, S. of 1990 entitled. “Modifying The Rates Of Import Duty And Nomenclature Of Certain Imported Articles Under Section 104 Of The Tariff And Customs Code Of 1978, (Presidential Decree No. 1464), As Amended”;

WHEREAS, in deference to a co-equal branch of our government and to avoid public confusion, the implementation of the Executive Order No. 413, S. of 1990, must be held in abeyance.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Section 1. The Department of Finance, the National Economic and Development Authority Secretariat, and the concerned agencies are hereby directed to hold in abeyance the implementation of Executive Order No. 413 S. of 1990. DEIHSa

Section 2. This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.1aшphi1

DONE in the City of Manila, this 30th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and ninety.
