[ Memorandum Order No. 287, March 15, 1990 ]

PROVIDING FOR THE ABOLITION OF THE ADVISORY AND ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPORT OFFICE CREATED UNDER EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 928, SERIES OF 1983

In view of the fact that the President under Administrative Order No. 100, S. of 1988, has created a Committee to implement the Memorandum of Agreement amending the 1947 Military Bases Agreement and its accompanying letter dated October 17, 1987 of US President Ronald Reagan, and provided for the specific components thereof and the lead agencies responsible therefor, and to avoid overlapping of functions, the Advisory and Administrative and Support Office created under Executive Order No. 928, S. of 1983, is hereby abolished subject to the following guidelines:

1.The detail, assignment and designation of government officials and employees to the said office are hereby terminated.

2.All records of the said office shall be transferred to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs in his capacity as the Chairman of the Implementation Committee.

3.The unexpended balances of appropriations for the said office shall be turned over to their respective sources and/or the National Treasury subject to the pertinent accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
