[ Memorandum Order No. 107, July 12, 1968 ]

DIRECTING THE HOLDING OF A FLAG CEREMONY EVERY MONDAY IN THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT.

In order to foster reverence and respect for the accepted symbols of national solidarity which are indicative of true patriotism and love of country, it is hereby directed that a flag ceremony be held in the Office of the President every Monday at 7:45 in the morning in front of the Executive Building beginning July 15, 1968. The Ceremony shall be conducted in accordance with the revised rules on the observance of the Code of the Philippine National Flag and National Anthem prescribed under Executive Order No. 137, series of 1965, and led by the Commanding Officer of the Presidential Guard Battalion. All those present in the ceremony shall sing when the National Anthem is played by the PGB Band,

Attendance in the flag ceremony by all officials and employees in this Office is compulsory. All chiefs of divisions and units shall see to it that all employees under them attend the ceremony and on time.1aшphi1

Repeated unexplained absences from the ceremony shall be considered sufficient cause for administrative disciplinary action.

Strict compliance with this Order is enjoined.
