AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION ON OFFICIAL TRAVEL OF PROFESSIONAL FORESTERS IN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS, AND STATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN THE “EXPERTISE FORUM” SPONSORED BY THE SOCIETY OF FILIPINO FORESTERS, INC. IN SUPPORT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MALACAÑANG ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 171

The Society of Filipino Foresters, Inc., in line with its 59th Anniversary, will hold an “Expertise Forum” on July 18-20, 2007 at the Almont Hotel and Inland Resort, Butuan City in support of the implementation of Malacañang Administrative Order No. 171 entitled “Creating the Presidential Task Force on Climate Change”.1aшphi1

This Forum will serve as a venue for Professional Foresters to be informed and take part in the discussion on climate change. Likewise, it is expected to generate strategies and formulate appropriate policies that may be adopted by both government and private sectors to mitigate climate change.

In this regard, Professional Foresters in government agencies, local government units and state colleges and universities are hereby authorized to attend the abovementioned forum on official travel subject to the availability of funds from their respective offices and provided that such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of basic services to the public.1aшphi1
